We’re area rug cleaning experts! Our rug cleaners have the experience to ensure your rugs are thoroughly cleaned and protected. We’ve received specialized training, equipment, and products from both the Woolsafe Organization in New Zealand and San Diego’s Textile Pro Network. This means your rugs get world-class treatment right here in East Texas. Area rugs can perfectly accent a room with bright, vibrant colors with extravagant patterns or soft coloring and simple patterns. They why we consider area rugs “the art we walk on!” With this in mind, it’s important to have the right cleaning for your work of art. Ease Carpet Cleaning follows a basic five-step plan, using our expertise to determine its unique needs. This cleaning is based on the quality, fiber and dye composition, age, level of soil, and placement of your rug. Considering these factors, our basic rug cleaning follows these steps:
The following are optional steps. We recommend these steps for different situations:
Pet Odor Removal
Rug Pad Addition

A good project is best done with expertise and research. At Ease Carpet Cleaning, we have both. For this step, our experts perform a 50+ point inspection of your area rug. This includes pinpointing your rug’s composition, repairs, pet odors, damage, stains, and soil level. The inspection helps us provide you with your best options for cleaning and/or repairs, so you can make the best decisions on how to proceed. We work hard to make sure odors are removed, damage is repaired, and your rug looks its best!
Remember those photos of people beating a rug with a wooden spoon or stick? We employ the same concept, just more high-tech! We recommend in-plant cleaning as the best option for the best clean your rug can get. First, simple vacuuming won’t remove all dry soil. Not performing this step can lead to discoloration and damage. Second, in-home cleaning may also damage or discolor your hardwood floors and the rug itself if not cleaned or dried properly. We want to avoid both these scenarios! Ease Carpet Cleaning takes your rug to our plant for rug dusting using the best, latest equipment to get the job done right. We dust the rug until no dry soil can be removed. We then move to the next step.
Dye testing may take multiple days because we don’t want any of your rug’s complex colors to discolor. We test all of your rug’s colors to make sure it’s safe to finish out the cleaning. Our rug cleaners must consider the rug’s fibers, age, damage, and dye processes. We may recommend different approaches depending on these factors, but the goal remains to get your rugs as clean and protected as possible. We want you to be able to pass down your rugs to your family for generations, and for them to look just as good they do now!
After the dry soil is removed and the dyes have been tested, we deep clean your rug in a full-immersion rug bath. We use the proper solutions, pH levels, and agitation. Your rugs are cleaned so thoroughly because we use expert training and Woolsafe-Approved products. We rinse the rug afterwards with our balanced water solution for the best clean and to remove any extraneous solutions or contaminants. Excess moisture removal is an essential process to remove odors and prevent future damage. We then make sure the rugs are fully dry with rug grooming and quick-drying air circulation.
Our last and final step is the post-cleaning inspection. We perform one final vacuuming and pile grooming. After it passes inspection, we deliver your rug as soon as possible! If your rug needs storage preparation, we can do that too. Wrapping your rug in Tyvek paper ensures protection from soil, bugs, and mold growth. You’re then free to enjoy the peace of mind that comes with your freshly cleaned rug!
This section will go over optional steps we may recommend and why. These steps are pet odor removal, rug pad addition, and moth proofing treatment.
We love our pets. But accidents happen, and these accidents can sometimes stay with a rug for a long period of time! In order to ensure pet odor is removed, Ease Carpet Cleaning treats the soiled area with the right products. Pet urine can damage dye sites and lead to loss of color or staining. Plus, the smell can be unpleasant! Our rug cleaning experts check these spots and do their best to clean your rugs completely and with care. We work to clean the spot and eliminate the odor. Because we know you love your pets, we also want to make sure we use the right products that are safe for them and you.
Rug pads are great for your hardwood floors. They protect both floor and rug, providing extra cushion and traction. We offer four different rug pads. Three of these are Green Label-Certified Environmentally Safe products. Each offers different benefits for your unique home needs. All are designed to protect your area rugs and hardwood or tile floors from abrasion and staining. Our rug cleaning experts can help you choose what’s best for your home! Check out our detailed breakdown of each type of rug pad.
Wool rugs need special protection because of insects who love these items just as much as we do! They’re meant to last hundreds of years, but in the wrong conditions, carpet beetles, moths, and other bugs can destroy the rug fibers in under a year. For extra protection, especially for antique and special rugs, we add a moth treatment after the rug is dried. The bad taste will stop them from setting up home in the fibers, and you won’t have the unpleasant experience of having to repair or lose your rug.
